E-Typia: Greece helping Turkey and Macedonia cement ties
'Close relations between Macedonia and Turkey continue outside their borders' states Greek daily "Eleftherotypia". Organizations from both countries are trying to influence the U.S. foreign policy.

The Turkish federation in the U.S - the cultural society of American Turks announced a stipend for Skopians who wish to study in Turkey', says the Greek Daily.


According to Eleftherotypia, the goal of the initiative is increasing of the cultural and historical connections between the two countries.

"From its own side, the president of the United Macedonia Diaspora announced he was proud that the father of the Turkish Republic is a Macedonian Turk. During September, the cooperation between the two organizations was broadened, after the Turkish organization decided to donate $150,000 to the UMD. The two countries cooperate in the international field, when it comes to Euro-Atlantic integration and the human rights in the Balkans" says Eleftherotypia. //28.10.08
