Before I Pull Further Information

Response to Legal is good

Off hand I do not have Lewis Pilcher nor Beverly Pilcher on my computer file in connection with my group of Pilcher. And I do not think all these various Pilcher families were related. We have the added problem--another family by the name of Pitcher lived in the same locations, so those records could be mixed together.

I might have additional information in my binder down stairs, but before I starting pulling a bunch of information I have some questions for you.

1. What county in KY did your ancestor die ?

2. Have you already check the L.D.S. computer file. Someone has put the death year for your ancestor as 15 Mar 1854 no location. Is this information true? There could be a county registry for the county in which he died. Your ancestor listed as Lewis W. Pilcher.

3. If you have military records for him & his brother, which county in VA did he serve ?

4. Have you seen the book by Lucille Jackson Vernon "Pilcher Family History". I really question a lot of the material in her book, but knowning what she put in print, you will know what others have collected for themselves and what they have just pick from her book.

5. DNA studies, I do not know if people of the surname are taking part in a study or not. Michael is envolved with Mackay group, check with him.

I will wait to see if you response before putting out further effort.

Good luck with your researcher.
