The L.D.S. family search lab has the 1850 Slave Schedule on line. I did not see any Lewis Pilcher listed for that time period in MO or KY.
Of course, you will want to seach the records for Fayette Co. KY to see if they removed to that area with slaves. The Pilcher of Caroline Co. VA and Culpeper Co. VA had slaves. I have found in the past if a person entered a State with slaves from any other State-- they had to registry the names of the slaves in the local court. This is what would hope you can find for your Lewis & Beverley Pilcher.
You will find these records in the will books and land deeds. The L.D.S. library has court records to rent for both locations where your ancestor lived in KY & MO.
