I have a lot of items for Johnston, Mitchell & McKay entries in the Warren Co. VA I want to study them further.
Here are a few entries which might interest others:
John STROTHER in 1859 received Bounty Land Warrents NO 67633 issued for his being a private in the War of 1812. He died 1865.
Edwin HEFFLEBOWER (sic) appointed judge of Elections Milldale presinct in 1884
Edwin Hefflebower certified his C.S.A. pension
Benjamin STROTHER certified as a soldier of VA line in Revoluntionary War in 1836 granted land warrent N67633 issued 11 Jul 1857, he died 1865. I would assume others are receiving the land for his military service.
