Click

I think you can close it completeley and NOT hear the click. You should be able to close it the whole way tho. The click comes when you can close it completely and quickly...If you can hear the click on a lowr setting you might want to go back that setting a little while longer. Even tho i don't hear click all the time, i can definately feel the difference in muscle control.

The click

I also hear a click when it opens back up and hits the knob. At least that is where I think the click is coming from. There was one level when I didn't hear it, but I just kept on and I heard it again on the next level (I don't know if I was doing it slower or ??) If you put your finger on it and feel it closing or close to it, I wouldn't worry to much about it. The click just gives some reassurance that you are in fact moving it.

the 'click'

The click is the plastic coming completely together. It is not a LOUD clicking sound, but the sound of teh kegelmaster closing.  As long as you are getting in completely closed, you are doing it properly.  Are you on the 1st setting?  2nd?  When you close it with your fingers (outside your body) do you get it completely closed so you can 'hear' it when it closes?  Some people don't always get the 'click' if they are doing it slowly (which is ok) but moreso if they have gotten teh muscles stronger and are closing it quickly.    Hope that helps.

this is so completely wrong. As per the inventor, you are not suppose to close the unit all the way. The exercise is in the motion. Just like at the gym, you don't let the weights drop all the way to the bottom before you pick them back up. Once you can close the unit ALMOST all the way, you need to move up.
