KM2K is OK but has design flaw

March 11 2012 at 3:52 PM

I am currently on my 4th KM2K in as many years and I really wouldn't want to be without it. However, there is a very serious design flaw at the hinge of the device. Every device I've had has broken at the hinge after not very long usage and certainly without any harsh handling. The little hinge just... breaks, usually when I am removing the springs for cleaning. It is very frustrating because it is not an inexpensive purchase. And it has happened repeatedly. I don't know if I'm ready to spend nearly $100.00 on a device that will only last little less than a year.

are you using an oil based lubricant?

Sometimes that will dry out the plastic. I've had mine for 10 years with no issues, but always use waterbased. Like anything plastic, you want to keep it out of a very DRY enviroment too... sun etc. Please email me at [email protected] if i can be of any help. I will give you a discount on your next one if you wish a replacement, even if you didn't order from us to begin with. I want women to be helped by this, like I was.
Thanks
Kaki
