Oh yeah... there's probably gonna be some wince inducing In Nomine flavored stuff in Apotheosis Now (and the third arc of NXE for that matter). It looks very much like the In Nomine push occured between the second and third arcs, where Gryphon apparently discovered said game, and the whole thing gets significantly loopier as a result.
So the answer as to whether the Angels are actually an alien invading force (as presented in Symphony of Terror) or an angelic/demonic confrontation (Revelations in Real Time), the answer turns out to be "Yes."
I'm still wondering why he left in the Referential Cameos That Seemed Funny At The Time, for the grand finale. *shrug*
