Blackhawk Snowblazers Trail Report

We rode the best trails yet tonight. Left Oregon, east side of the river. Rode south to Dixon and the trails were excellent. They have more snow than farther north. Franklin Creek state park had untracked snow. The trails are open to sleds on the east side of the road. On the way back we rode through Ashton, then north to Chana. All the way there was a lot of snow. We hit a trail that only 2 sleds had been on since it snowed. It's good to be out here in the boonies. 65 mile loop. 5 minutes from home I hit a deer at somewhere between 40-50 mph. It came out of the woods and hit the right side of the sled - it's head ripped my hand and arm off the handlebar, and it's body hit my knee. Emergency room in the AM for wrist X-Rays.

6-8" tomorrow! Ride 'til it melts, and be careful out there!
