You could start at the bowling alley in Polo. They may even have trail maps there. Rich Frye from Douglas and Frye Polaris (Sterling) is in our club, and they may have some maps there.
From Polo you can head east (Oregon), north (Forreston), or south (Dixon). The Dixon trail is a dead end, you'll have to come back north. The north trail out of Polo is really nice, but when you get to the north end the markings stop. Follow the road north where the trail ends, and in about 2 miles you will hit the Leaf River (right) to Forreston (left) trail. The Polo to Oregon trial is very scenic, probably one of our nicest trails. Things are getting bumpy around here but they are calling for 2-4" more snow tomorrow night. Hope we get it!
