In the August edition of News and Views, and in the August minutes of the Parish Council, are mentioned the proposed inclusion by the County Council in the County Plan of gravel extraction between Berinsfield and Benson. Obviously this suggestion generates a Nimby (Not In My Back Yard) feeling. Arguments against gravel extraction are being put together and a campaign together with the other nine villages potentially affected has been started. This and more detail can be found in the above minutes and article. Has anyone anything to suggest for inclusion in this debate, or arguments for or against the proposal?
