I am searching for information about the history of Drayton St. Leonards. Also information about the Arthur family. Margaret Arthur was my great-grandmother and was raised by her grandparents, Thomas and Ann who are buried in the churchyard, along with her aunt, Susan. She was born in 1866 and the family lived in a cottage 'near the waterside', and 'near the ferry'. Does anyone know where this might be located in the village? Are there any books available about the village during the 19th century when Thomas and Ann raised their family? Thomas was a farm worker. Does anyone know where?
