Shim your door.

by Moorpark

I used this temp fix on my driver side door. The front of the door was OK, but the latch end had to be lifted to close. I loosened the lower hinge bolts. I created a shim from plastic "bender board". I had to cut slots to fit around the bolts. I slipped the shim between the hinge and the door after using a jack to support the door. This raised the latch end of the door enough to latch properly. Someday I'll remove the door and re-position the hinges properly.
