  • Is power steering standard for AMC Pacer?

      I have a question about an AMC Pacer. I’ve seen one for sale and I want to buy it. It’s an AMC Pacer 3.8 V6 automatic 1978 creme coloured. I just had a testdrive and what noticed me is that the steering is quite heavy.

      This Pacer is specially for the Dutch market. The first owner in 1978 was Dutch. Does anyone perhaps know if a 1978 Pacer should be equipped with power steering? If so, then the power steering device must have been broken. What are the costs of getting a new power steering device being installed into a AMC Pacer?

      I hope anyone can answer me on these questions
