Hi all,
I seem to recall that in the ensuing days after TWA800 went down, it was reported (mainstream media) that the Air Traffic Controller in NYC that had TWA800 on his screen when it went down had actually filed a report stating that he also had a missile on his screen in close proximity to TWA800. It is federal staute that a report must be filed whenever a civillian ATC sees a missile on his screen.
As best I recall, as the days went on, the NTSB claimed that the missile signal seen by ATC was an ambiguous signal, and later, as an "anomolous signal". The "evidence" was ultimately disocunted.
I tried searching for this info but, no luck. Suggestions, anyone?

Just saw it tonight on History Channel's "Consipracy?:TWA Flight 800". Found this site interesting, and have just finished "Night Fall" so was looking at posts.
They did mention a "blip" on the radar, there is a post on this message board from a few years ago (summer of 2001 - prior to 9/11) that even mentions a video. Show's over in 15 mins.
Captain Ray Lahr who has filed a lawsuit for Information has as apart of his package a letter from FAA, in which MR. Thomas [cant recall first name here] wrote a letter that was submitted which discussed a unusual radar track, and the FBI and or NTSB requested that Mr. Thomas not mention this "anomoly" yet the reply from Thomas was that he could not comply with the goverment agency 'request' to dismiss the radar data. you may be able to contact Ray Lahr via his web site and inquire about the FAA letter and the FAA responce about the unusual radar blip.
