I am having a major problem with the FBI response in it's "investigation of the Kabot photo. Below is what they had to say re: Kabot-----Below each my comment. I'm sure this has been rehashed before....Wondering if Bob Donaldson could comment..
....I am still waiting for "confirmation" of the source of info. regarding the USS Augusta......(I am still waiting for a response from Bob, or anyone else re: Radar images of Eastwind 507)
"The photo taken by Kabot depicts a bearing of north/northeast. TWA Flight 800 was south/southwest almost directly behind her. Photograph analyzed by CIA National Imagery and Mapping Administration (NIMA) advised that:
1. There is an object in the photo.
(OK)
2. Object is not a missile.
(WHY?)
3. Object appears to be an aircraft.
(OK, MAYBE)
Not possible to ID aircraft because:
- Not possible to determine distance of object from camera.
(Come on boyz, give a guess....Irrelevant anyway...Then narrow it down to known crafts in general area)
- Exact time of photo unknown (time frame only is known).
(Use the time frame 08:20-08:40 as reported)
- Insufficient detail in photo to determine type of aircraft.
(OK, so ID it as mentioned above)
4. Object is not a drone.
(WHY)
- No drone exercises conducted near Long Island July 17, 1996."
(If this is WHY to the above, then it is insufficient)
