one ias of railway was caught red handed in lucknow recently with truck loads of illegal cash..... the blogger forget to highlight this aspect of his so called glorious service.
the reality is glaring.... in present circumsatnces railway d'nt require generalist irts bossing over technical experts.the operating functions of irts can be well looked after by trqained engineers of s&t department who are actually the cream in respect of engg college admissions as well in upsc engg services.but irts lobby is denying their justified position in railways. as far as commercial functions are concerned that is more suitable for IRAS since this invol;ves earning and money accountal. the safety aspect was poorly looked after by the "ias of railways" forcing it to be made as ex-cadre so as to save precious human lives.
further the cream aspect propagated by the blogger is a blatant lie considering the fact that many high rankers in upsc civil services opted for iras and irps instead of irts.
