No, the first commercial to be filmed, as far as I know, was the original 3rd National Cast, with Rosanne Sorrentino. A few years later, they made another one exactly the same, but with Allison Smith and the Broadway Cast. Does anyone know if there was one when the show first opened? Perhaps in 1977, it was too expensive or not common practice for Broadway shows or tours to film commercials. I would imagine the commercials were expensive, due to Union royalties and buying time on local TV stations.
