I asked the girls your question and they kind of had a difficult time answering it. Molly says she feels that Grinch, Annie and American Girl (not necessarily in that order) were her top favorites. Lindsay said Annie, AG, Gypsy and Annie at LA Valley College were some of her favorite things. All three girls really enjoy filming, too.
As far as Molly finding out about Grinch, (I think a while back I may have discussed some of this), it was rather bittersweet. Lindsay had been seen at the callbacks even more than Molly, and it seemed that Lindsay was even going to be one of the Cindy Lous, so when just Molly was offered a part, it was quite surprising, but yes, Molly was thrilled, but sad that Lindsay didn't get cast. Some of the creative team, particularly, were very good to Lindsay, even telling her, "don't change a thing - just come back next year." We were living out here in LA and they contacted our manager to have both girls come back for the '07-'08 auditions, and they were very sweet, but we just couldn't uproot the family yet again, as we had just settled into our new home here in LA and the whole family was really enjoying all LA had to offer, which included a fantastic experience at American Girl. It was extremely difficult to pass up, though - Lindsay really felt "jipped." Then, they tried to get the girls to re-workshop the show, and potentially do the run in La Jolla, with the same creative team, but Equity laws (because The Old Globe is a LORT theatre) prevented them from hiring a child to work in the show that was not a bona fide San Diego County resident living year-round within 100 miles of the stage door.
It has been very hard to live this far from New York, especially, since there are VERY few professional theatre opportunities here in LA. We are truly grateful to Julie - it's fantastic that she is doing this "Bound for Broadway" program, and we are seriously considering having the girls try to be a part of this.
