gap under belly scars causing pain might lead to general surgery...
by
my gastroentrologist told me on Friday that the pain I am experiencing over my peritoneum VP shunt scars is due to a gap under the scars that can be felt in the center of the cross when touched. It is very sensitive and has been botering me for a while. He put me on antibiotics knowing that E. coli is bothering my GI systems right now, not making me feel normal. He also said that if the "gap" bulges out or get red, I need to see a general surgeon. I am also worried if the pain does not go away or gets worse. Weird. Remeber now, My first scar when I was five is up and down, and my next scar made there when I was 32 is across, thus making it a "cross" scar, and the "intersection"/ middle is a gap that is sensitive. Please all of you, pray for my healing that the antibiotics work and that I feel better soon. The pain can be so bad I can't lie on my stomach!
