Interesting, Joy... I live in WV so I do occasionally drive in the mountains. I have had the ear popping, but since I can chew gum it doesn't seem to be a big deal.
I live on the Ohio border, and the mountains are east of us. Thanks for clarifying the plane pressures. I know I've read and been told that it's okay to fly commercial, but it's pretty obvious that the pressures do change when they pressurize etc.
They make gum for people with dentures...not sure of the brand.
