Hopkins adult neurology told me that data shows that this is a benchmark when the condition can reasert itself because the preforation in the 3rd ventricle starts to grow over.
Bee, if you are several years post operative, and have not had any symptoms that indicate that the perforation in the 3rd venticle is starting to close, then that is very good news.
Just monitor balance, that stumbling and shuffling gait, or falls and go to your doctor if these reoccur. And for me, a quick temper - which is atypical.
