Hi my name is Kathy and my mother who is 80 was diagnosed last march with adult hydro. Everything is going wrong and they want to put in a shunt. She does not want the surgery and I don't blame her. Reading all the messages here about many of the problems I am concerned for her at her age. It is hard caring for her. She has all the classic symptoms of adult hydro some worse than others but things seem to be getting worse. Any suggestions out there for an 80 weak lady with a heart condition to go through this surgery. Right now I don't want to put her through that. I am constantly tryng to learn as much as I can but can be overwhelming. Thanks for listening. Kathy
