How can a shunt revision be outpatient? When my insurence wanted me to be when I was a teen, my doctor would not hear of it. He kept me a few days. He now says I can go home the next day, but it's always 3 days and often a week or longer.
This time my surgery was sceduled at 3:30. I had to be there at 1:30. But an emergency came in and bumped the 1:30 to to 3:30 and me to 5:30. I could have gone home that next evening; but opted for the next day because I tend to go downhill quickly at 6:30, when the doctor came in.
