When i search for prognosis on hydrocephalus there is only news of what happens after a shunt is put in. Do you know what the life expectancy is of a patient that is not going to have the shunt is? My grandfather's heart doctor will not sign off on the procedure. I think it is crazy. What is his quality of life in this situation? I can't imagine him staying like this long. He is in a nursing home now b/c my grandmother can't help him get around.
