First things first. Surgery is finally set for July 20. I'm just excited to have a date!
Next, I was reminded that neurosurgeons are just that. Neurosurgeons. Janet. I feel very confident in Dr Naff's no-nonsense, to the point manner and now understand how special Dr Williams is. I am happy to report that my son was shown the shunt being put in and that calmed him down. I asked Dr Naff if he had any kind of statistics for my son, since he was nervous about it, and Dr Naff told my son there is never any guarentees when it comes to surgery, which I am proof of, but he did say he hasn't "lost any" patients yet. That helped.
