I also have stumped my doctors. My neurosurgeon has told me I'm hard to figure out - and I agreed. All signs were pointing to my shunt, but all the tests came back negative. One blood test came back positive for Animia, but I was still symtomatic for shunt even with iron suppliments. He went ahead and did the surgery, and I continued taking iron until the doctor told me I could stop.
My oral surgeon was much the same way, but with tumors in my upper and lower jaw, and cheek bones. I went through surgery, and experimental steriod injections that worked at first, then ultimitly failed. I'm in the medical books for that one.
My eyes are also that way. I had COATS disease in my right eye and it progressed quickly and surgery was supposed to save my sight, but ruined it. All my retnia specialest and opthamolagists are stumped(in Ohio and NC) and don't understand why I can't see out of that eye.
I often feel like I have the most complicated cases out there and if there is another complicated case I could have, I will have it.
It's frusterating and sometimes I just want to scream; and I'm sure my family wants to do the same.
