Good news! My platelets are going up, almost close enough for the okay for surgery WITHOUT a transfussion. I just have to take steriods for a week, and hope that brings them up enough. In the meantime, my hemotologist DID release me for surgery pending the results, since it takes a while to set up the surgery. I called the surgical coordinator and she set me up tenatively for Nov 9, which will be confirmed by the neuro the beginning of next week.
I am hoping that I have all my t's crossed and i's dotted and get this show on the road. I appreciate all these docs are doing to reduce the risks as much as possible and am confident in them.
My wish is for all to have the strength to endure what life throws at us. I'm trying to live up to that wish by example.
