I've never been on topamax. I looked it up and it said it's for seizures. Is that what you are using it for? Do you have confirmed seizures? Or are they more like what I get which is a "blackout". I get times where I don't know where I was going as I'm on my way somewhere, I've looked for one vehicle when I went shopping instead of the one I took (and this isn't normal forgetfulness!).
They finally told me I had blood issues, and with all the tests coming up negative, gave me steriods to help increase my platelets. I haven't felt this good in over 15 years! I not only have the energy to do things, I have the proper thought balance to make it work. This is something I haven't had since my last shunt replacement, and now I know it's cause that shunt was working against me.
I've been given a totally new attitude and am very anxious and optimistic of getting my head taken care of. I'm glad they found my blood issue and I know about that now too. I hope, by the time they get me in for surgery, I'll have my house in a shape that will help me recover quickly.
