After a long, and enlightening travel down the road of preparing for surgery, I am set for MONDAY! Yes. That is less than one week from now. I am set to see the neurosurgeon tomorrow morning, and pre-testing done in the afternoon. My platelets, drawn and counted as of this morning, are above what was needed for me to avoid a transfussion. I just have to stay on the steroids until after surgery, then slowly get off them.
I am more comfortable now that I was back in May when I first knew I needed this done. I am greatful that I have a team of doctors making sure everything is done with the least amount of issues.
I've enjoyed the effects of the steriods and have most of my house "spring" cleaned. I haven't had the ability to do that since I moved in 3 years ago. I feel alot stronger knowing that when I come home from surgery, I can run my house from my bed.
