Wow!! What a sweet cover! I intend to have a cover made that will be VERY similar to the one Don Smith sent pictures of. (See Don's response to my series of questions beginning with catalitic exhaust problem and towing the Shay to Townsend).
NOW, a question pertaining to the top cover! How is the front of the cover secured? Is there also snaps or "lift a dots" as in the rear or is there a draw string that goes through the cover and fastens to some part of the body? I think I would also incorporate some means of "super securing the cover by drawstring or grommet rings to allow using the door handles to help hold the cover down down at the sides of the car.. I had a top damaged when the thumb screw(s) loosened. I am, therefore a little paranoid. I will now secure the top down by using cord, wire , or bungie cords to prevent the "thumb screw" ring from lifting over the windshield pillar. Or.. I may thread the protruding tip of the windshield pillar and use a washer and a jam nut to really hold the "thumb screw" ring and in turn the car top in place when the car is being towed.
What do you think??
I am very grateful to all that have advised me!
