Hi, Guys just bought a Shays for half of the price , that I sold my Original 1930 Ford Roadster.
Let me tell, the shays does not grind gears when you are shifting. It goes over 50 mph all day long. It does not steer like a truck.
It would of cost me around $2,300 to put an over drive in,another $4,000 plus to over haul my motor for touring, around $800 for steering,$1,500 for a synchronize transmission, Plus$$$$. It still feels funny that I can shift from 1st to 2nd above 5 mph ,without grinding, I exspect it,but it does not Happen! We all know it is a repro, but I tell You when I get in it, it feels the same to me,as my Sold 1930 Roadster. The same Yells from kids, thumbs up from adults, and I have $$$$ in the Bank.
You Guys are doing more good for the Model A clubs ,and the Model As in general,in my opinion because you are driving them, the youth see them, the youth is the Future.
