Finally got wiring right so signals on Duo-Lamps work.
Now of all things, the turn signal switch in the column has lost it's ability to stay in position. When pulling down, or pushing up, it doesn't stay in place, though electrical contact is being made.
From Haynes Pinto manual this is listed as a complete switch. Right? Is it available? Anyone have a part number? From Ford? or after market?
Any direction is most appreciated, so I can go into the column once and fix er up!
I had to replace mine about two years ago. I got mine from the local Ford dealership. The part is not carried as a stock item at the distribution centers anymore, but they can get on a parts locater with other dealers to see what's avaliable. That's how mine was found, and the parts guy said there were still a few out there. Look for Pinto/ Fairmont/ Mustang listings.
