For Tom and others who may have an interest in the Weber.

Bob Hillman has done his homework and has the Weber source nailed.

He recommends Jimmy at www.allcarbs.com Tel # 631-234-8327 which I can say from my experience this is the way to go. When I called Jimmy and introduced myself as a friend of Bob's with a Shay he knew exctly what carb I needed and how to set it up. Jimmy's cost was very competitive but more important the carb came set up for the shay with a special adaptor fabricated to interface with the Shay throttle cable.

I knew Jimmy's Dad, Jim for about 30 years until he pased away last year.

I do NOT know much about carbs, but I have found in life, if you do not know ask someone you can trust.

Jimmy and his brother Bob are like their Dad, they try their best to do the right thing, so that is why I trust these guys with carb work.

NY Bob

Hi To Everyone: Thanks so much the phone number and everything.

I love credit cards, in my dotage I am "super shopper" damn the bills...........full speed ahead.

USPS and UPS before noon.

Quite the tab this month at Napa too.

It will be priceless having a super dependabele Shay everyday driver this summer when its 114 deg F.

Still going to do the Mustang wheels painted creme body color with black radials.

Loose the spares too and fill the wells with a piece of foam
trimmed to fit with some black paint.

Orange and red vinyl flames (removable).

Eureka

March 31 2009, 12:07 PM

Hi Everyone: Thanks again guys,

Oh I have slipped the surly bonds of Holley and will soon be dancing (down the road) with the silvery carb of Weber.

Young Master James (Jimmy) gave me $10 bucks off for asking for a young man named "Jimmie".

As they say it's in the mail, so now I am running out of excuses for not having an aircleaner.

Thanks again, how wonderful to dial one number and find the
other end knows exactly what U need.

SWEET!

eureka addendum

April 1 2009, 1:30 PM

Hi Everyone:

I forgot to mention that I invoked the name of "Hillman" and it was like the secret password.

His (Jimmy's) next response was "U have a Shay"?

So I didn't even have to "esplain" [sic] Ricky Recardo.

Thanks yet again, I can't get over how easy that was.

Now if I could just get Mssrs Jimmy and Hillman to come to AZ
and coach me.

I would be ready with a pail of whitewash and my best Tom Sawyer impression.
