Trunk rack brackets

Well there are sure some nice trunks out there.
Yes Gary it is a little taller as I was considering mounting my cooler in it plus having the electrical outlet wired in for the cooler. Then it would be just a plug in to connect it to the car
I have a question regarding mounting the rack.I have the spare mounted at the back of the car.
On the return bumper mounting bar where the brackets are attached there seems to be a problem .When I put my trunk on I noticed it being a bit springy. On closer looking I see that the bar is actually moving in an up and down motion.I did make my own brackets to mount the rack so that is not the problem.
Anyone else notice this?
I made up a couple of brackets and bolted them to the end of the bar nearest the body.I bolted the other side directly in line opposite to the main bumper bracket. This definitley solved what I perceived to be a problem.
The brackets were made up of 2 pieces of 1 inch tubing welded together and then welded to 1/4 inch plates.
Chuck
