Theresa and I are looking at a Ford F150 pickup purchase and we will need a bed cover when we pull the Shay to Florida. I would perfer a hard surface cover rather than a cap that would fold up or be easily removed to carry larger items. It would need to be as waterproof as possible and resistant to High UV rays and salt spay air. I have looked at manufactures web sites and they all claim to have the best. Any personal experience would be helpful.... THANKS.... Dave Shank
I use a Access "Roll Up" soft cover. It is 99% water tight, mounts on rails clamped to the inside of the bed top rail, allows for bed casket rails as well. This is the second one I have owned and I am very happy with it. The tension can be adjusted so as to keep it taught and the tail gate can be opened and shut just like a hard cover. The advantage is it is easly rolled up when the load is taller.
