at fill ups i had gas tank leaks from the top of the tank, first had my my 65 dollar an hour mechanic remove the charcoal tank. still leaked gas on fill up, -------- then i called John the car restorer who also has a car lift, we dropped the tank and tilted the tank and gas poured out from the sending unit gasket, made a new gasket and all looks good, if i may add for the Shay gentlemen who have never dropped the tank, the sending unit has three hoses , one is the vaor hose to the charcoal tank then to the intake manifold, second is the gas feed line the third is the gas return line ,, the sending unit is located in the middle of the tank, then there is one more hose located on top of the tank ( at the rear ) and the hose goes toward the gas tank filler, this must be a vent hose, hope i did not bore you with my explanation,
