Steve - Since you're the 'guru' of car ads, I have a non-Shay question to ask.

Is there a way to search Craig's List other than going to each individual city? Maybe a region? I've only gone to a particular city & searched so wondered if there's a better/easier way.

Seems to be lots of Shays for sale. For me it is fun to look and see the prices and the different things the owners have done to their cars. The values seem to be holding real good.

I found a tool called Hanks Helper which searches several popular car sites including ebay, craigslist, autotrader and more. The search engine is based on searchTempest which is designed to search all categories of craigslist and multiple cities all at once. Hanks Helper is specific to cars.

I leave the year, model, etc blank and put Shay in the keyword field.

You can choose to search anywhere between 0 to 1000 mile radius from your zip code.

Refine your search...

Click on "More Options" and under Sites to Search:
   Click Large/Commercial to choose e-Bay, autotrader and other sites.
   Click Mashup for Craigslist

OR

   Just use the 'Sites to Search' options located under the 'More Options' button.


When the search results come back, each site will have it's own tab across the top, | Ebay Motors | Craigslist.org | and so on.

Tip: If you search across the entire country and include several sites, it could take several mintues for all the results to come back.
