I went for a nice drive yesterday in the Shay
I still am amazed at the room moving the seat back made.It has made driving the Shay a most relaxing car to drive.I used to be sort of scrunched up before doing the conversion.
It has to be one of the best ideas in modifying a Shay.It is so nice driving my Tigers are getting jealous as they are not getting out as much anymore.
Another nice day to be driving a Shay

By the way I'm getting great mileage since removing the smog stuff and setting the engine up to where I wanted it.
Hi Tom
Basically it is cutting out the back panel and relocate it back a few inches.I reused the fiber glass panel but some have used plywood.I also removed the back cushion and reattached it to 3/8th plwood.
If you use the search option I'm sure you will find all you need to know.
