With the collective wisdom and maturity of the folks on this board, I'd like to inquire as to your "experiences" as opposed to the here say that's publicized.

"Deer Whistles" or those little thingy's you put on the front of the car to discourage wildlife from crossing path's with a motor vehicle.

Do they work? or don't they?

Having crossed path's with two deer in the last six months bringing my total up to 4, I'm frustrated & financially discouraged. The other wildlife becomes road kill & is not nearly as damaging as are deer.

Opinions / Experiences ?!?!

Steve I have heard people say they don't work but my experience with them is the deer stop and watch until the car is past. I think some people don't install the devices correctly and do not get the proper air flow to create the whistle. Prior to installing the devices about ten years ago I ran into one deer while another ran into the door of my car. I saw a lot of deer in the Roanoke area when I was there in mid June. You live in a beautiful and interesting area.
