180 Degree Thermostat

Tom,

I line in North Carolina and have been running a 180 deg. thermostat for about 11 years. It's hot and very humid in the summer. I don't know what a fail safe thermostat is, but I've never had any heating problems with my car.

Ron,
I believe that if a fail safe thermostat fails, it fails in the open postion. So that you don't overheat.
