I got an estimate of $45 to $65 over the phone by a local company.
Seems like a reasonable price. Maybe too cheap?
I have never had anything chrome plated before. Any suggestions?
Any questions I should ask? What did you pay? Thanks....steve

HI Everyone:

Steve I bought a black wrinkle finish aluminum billet cover that was on a Ford T bird 2.3 SVO on ebay for $45,

and it looks great with my black Ranger header $50.

The nicest valve/cam cover I have seen was a polished Esslinger (racing parts for Ford 2.3 engines)cover on ebay,

went for $95 with the polished billet breather and a billet knurled oil filler cap.

U will need a spare steel one if U intend to have yours polished and chromed.

Remember it will only be chromed, not polished unless U pay for some "polish time" at the shop.

Also did that price include stripping paint ?

The $95 for that cover was a steal!

Let us know what U do, and here is a disclaimer,

I have no valve covers for sale on ebay,

but search for "2.3 valve cover" U will be surprised by how many hits U get.

Just don't forget to go to ebay "motors".
