I am a former owner of a shay back in the mid 1980's I regret selling it and I am trying to find one in the LA southern cal area? I am reading up on the car and I saw your ad....you can reach me also at 213-713-0212 thanks I live in the glendale area
Hi Steve. I think this car may be sold, since the link no longer works.
It was for sale on Craigslist. I can help you look for a Shay if you want. Email me a goodmans58@yahoo.com and we can stay in touch. I enjoy looking for Shays for sale.
Thanks for the email I would idealy like to find a car lot that could provide me with the financing. I had a shay around 1982 and sold it like an idiot after getting married.
I appreciate your help, and if not now I can wait for the right situation. steve sarnicola 213 713-0212
Good point on the financing Ron. That was new to me.
Steve, I can help you look and will keep my eye out for CA cars. When I was looking for my Shay, I put a want ad on craigslist and got quite a few responses. Also put a want ad here at the forum and got responses from that also.
If you look at any cars outside the State of CA, Be careful of the smog requirements when you register the vehicle in CA. Better to find a Shay already registered in CA. Thats what I ended up buying, a CA car. I have only had my Shay a little over a year.
If U R gonna look , look for a PU truck with an auto trans
which has go to be almost the rarest I bet.
The good news is prices R down and there always seems to be a few for sale so its wide open .
I think the little cars will hold their value and if U do some age related maintainance to engine, and cooling system, upgrade lights etc, then U make it better as U enjoy it.
One of few "toys" that will return almost full value down the road on stuff U do to it now.
