Recently, I Purchased the soft top from Macs to replace my old top. Does anyone know if I need to leave the car with the shop or just the complete top and frame with the new materials. One shop wanted $500.00 to replace the top with my materials. Is that price too high or not?

Thanks!

Joe

Joe,
I installed my own top and yes you need to leave the car. They need it to fit the top properly. I have heard of people getting it installed for $300. I guess it all depends on where you live. I live in New York and everything is expensive here. Good Luck,

NY - RON

JOE: I bought a Black Canvas top from Mac's. I went to a local Fabric Shop and asked if they knew a local person who could install. They did, and he installed for $150.00 in my driveway. He also used old top as a pattern to make me a Road Cover so I could tow car to Florida last winter.
My suggestion, NETWORK you w3ill find someone. It is not that difficult if you have right tools and a little knowledge.... THANKS... Dave Shank
