...and believe me, I'm not trying to rain on your parade. But, IMO, a District Soul party should feature District Soul DJs because, after all, it's supposed be a celebration of the site and the scene here in DC.
At some point, we (meaning DC) need to establish our own identity and not be so dependent on out of town jocks to help make our parties attractive. I'm not saying that we should cut off out of town jocks completely. But I honestly feel most people here could play just as good, if not better, than many of our international magazines. Put a wall in front of the booth and I bet you that 9 times out of 10 people couldn't tell the difference between a "superstar" guest and a local jock. The only thing a "superstar" has that a local jock may not are production credits on some hot records and hype.
Let me ask you this Christian (and I'm asking in a respectable, inquistive tone here): Why are you so interested in bringing Nick Holder here? Have you ever heard him spin before? Or are you assuming, based on his productions, that he's a good DJ? Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Nick Holder's records. I own several of them.
