Response to So let me...
You might have confused what I meant... I was not referring to the MUSIC, meaning I wasn't talking about the specific sounds, I was talking about the overall entity that is Buzz being HOUSE.
What I am saying is that regardless of what specific song is being played, there's more to a club BEING HOUSE than just that song. All those people that talk about "Its all about the music" blah blah blah thats all good in theory, and in other instances, but I don't have that ability to go to a club and filter everything else out and sit there in my own little world and ONLY be influenced by the songs playing. Call me a lesser human being, call me shallow if you want, but I've been to our current versions of some EXCELLENT house clubs or house parties, and for me, maybe it could be considered superficial or whatever, but I NEED that external stimuli and that feeling of everyone VIBING to really get me open. In my humble "new jack" opinion, THATS HOUSE.
Buzz, in its current state, is NOT somewhere I go and feel a vibe like I get on a Sunday night at Red, or Saturdays with Doug or David Tobon, or at Shelter or at the MAW parties like at WMC or Central Park. I don't even get that feeling EVERY time I go to one of these "premiere" spots. It's not because of the songs, or even the DJ becuz I didn't get it when Louie was there either... its just NOT in that room, with that crowd, in that environment.
Besides, its too damn expensive.
Anyway, its all good. Everyone do their thing.
