Response to Not so controversial...
...let's not kid ourselves here. As ridiculous as it is for law enforcement and prosecutors to use things such as the prevalance of bottled water, air conditioning, Vicks Vapo Rub, face masks, pacifiers, glow sticks, the DanceSafe organization, the presence of emergency vehicles, etc. as signs that a party is drug ridden, EVERYBODY knows why some of those things exist at certain parties. It's almost laughable to me that people in article are suggesting that some of those things could be present for reasons other than because drugs exist at these parties.
I know this will probably sound dumb as hell, but if I was a club owner and you were caught at my club with drugs, your ass would be banned PERMANENTLY. You ain't gonna f**k up my B.I. so you can get your high on.
