I still haven't been to Paradox to see the Basement Boys yet. However, I'm finally starting to see why they are so talked about. They definitely have their own sound and I am anxious to one day make it out to see them rock a set.
I'm finally starting to get a little into Drum-N-Bass. so far I like some J. Majik cuts, some LTJ Bukem, maybe even some Deiselboy. Most of the kind I like is laid back and mellow - maybe it's considered "intelligent" - not too sure. The song I really like now is J. Majik's "Love is Not a Game" ft Kathy Brown.
MF Doom - fka KMD now he's back with a new off beat style, new beats. tracks range from smoothed out Sade sample, porn music, Iron Man cartoon sounds - definitely not like anything out
Ali Vegas - basically what Nas would sound like if he made Illmatic 2.
The DemiGodz (Apathy, Celph Titled, Rise) - Apathy is on that B-boy, raw fun battle lyrical tip. Celph Titled is nice and usually has nice production, but my man is Rise, distinct voice and lines to make u hit the rewind button
"Every Emcee" ft Apathy & Rise http://www.hiphopsite.com/realaudio/apathy-everymc.ram
