After I apologized to him about my blurt that Wednesday night (down the forum a bit for that one), he wanted to meet with me about it.

So, we met in the church kitchen for Chinese takeout. He gave me the usual stuff about not disturbing others, yada, yada. He is very naive on the subject of nudity and what the rest of the world does with it. He told about his 10 or 12 year old daughter seeing a European girl on the beach in the Caribbean in just a monokini. The girl looked to be about 12, with no discernable breasts yet. The daughter was shocked.

I sent him some further information on stuff I mentioned to him. I followed up with this note:

"I hope that it sunk in when I stated there are two sides to being offended by nudity.

Anyone saying that the naked body is pornographic or obscene is offensive to me, and I strongly believe that it is also offensive to God. God saw all that he created and it was good, including the naked and unashamed Adam and Eve. People have to do offensive things for their naked or near naked, and often fully clothed, bodies to be pornographic or obscene. Even the law of Virginia recognizes this (and New Jersey and most other states; although a very few states do have laws against simple nudity, sometimes spelling out what parts have to be covered, etc.). Someone cannot be convicted of simple nudity here. They have to be proven to have done something obscene.

Yes, I'll more correctly show consideration for my friends and neighbors in where I work and what I say. Most of them know me and know to call ahead before coming over here. I don't hide it from anyone. I've never had a problem with neighbors here, NJ, Baton Rouge or Singapore. I'm in select company. C.S. Lewis, Christian writer of children's book, was a nudist; Winston Churchill was; Peter was as a fisherman; Isaiah was for 3 years, by God's commandment.

My Mom, bless her heart, is one of those who have been incorrectly taught all her life. My nephew-in-law sent her a picture of his new son, lying on his back, naked on a blanket. Mom put the picture in an album AFTER she clipped out his genitals. CJ and I both exclaimed almost in unison, "WHY!", when she was showing the album to us. She had no reply. I'm not sure such people can be untaught such error."

We'll see. He's actually changed his stance on drinking. He used to be reciting the old stuff about all drinking being bad. I told him, that, yes, the Bible actually condones it in certain cases and mainly only condemns habitual drunkeness. He went on to cite that in his position he couldn't drink in the community. But maybe in Europe?
