A bit about me:

I just want to take some time and space on your forum to introduce myself.

My name is Andrew, and my wife is Amelia. We are christian naturists, and have been naturists for about a year. We live in Australia (in Brisbane), and as I said in the other post I made, we don't personally know any christian naturist in the area, or just naturists for that matter.

We became naturists through your site, Boyd! So we thank you for it, and thank God for leading us to it. (Great site) We were thinking about nudism but didn't really know much about it or how acceptable it is from a christian perspective. So we got on the net and searched for nudism. Practically every nudist website has webring links at the bottom, and the first site we looked at linked us to your site. Man, the top of the page loaded and blew us away. That's how it happened. Reading through the site I found myself in complete agreement with the content. The page really helped me make up my mind.

But there are some problems in our naturist lifestyle. Or rather, hurdles. We live not just on the main road, but practically on the main intersection in our suburb. On top of that, the police station is next door. And in any case we are in a small block of flats, so we don't have the property to ourselves. So it is a major disappointment, but we simply cannot go outside naked. And not having a car we can't get down to the beach easily at all. (There aren't any legal, official nudist beaches in our state (Queensland) anyway, so the nearest one is in NSW - two to three hour drive one way.) And we don't want to risk going to an unofficial (read illegal) beach.

So for all that we are just at home nudists. Some of our friends that know about it don't mind visiting us when we don't wear clothes (which is almost always at home). Brisbane is a good climate for naturism (or more correctly - a terrible climate to wear clothes in ) - hot in the summer, often humid.

While I was 'taken' by naturism quickly, it took my wife a little longer to be 100% comfortable with the idea, but now she is as enthusiastic as I am. From the past discussions in this forum, that makes me a lucky man! We are also 'young' naturists - I am 21 and Amelia is 20.

Anyway, that is me. Perhaps Amelia will introduce herself a little better later on. I have enjoyed this forum so far (just reading it) and I know I will continue to enjoy it as a contributing 'member'. It is great to have a little online 'family' to talk things over with. (no, we haven't told anyone in our families yet, only some of our friends)
I look forward to more interesting and enlightening discussions with you all.

Andrew

Introducing...

Greetings friend:
And I should say congratulations on taking the step forward to be what God intended you to be. I pray you will know the freedom in its fullness that Christ brings. Many people have to deal with limited opportunity to be nude outside the home. It sounds like you have the freedom in the home and use opportunities when others come to visit. If they are not yet nudist then you have an opportunity to talk with them and help them to see the wholesomeness of it.
Perhaps in time they will join you. Visits in others home for Bible study or picnic can be an opportunity to practice social nudity. Perhaps your friends have a home that would lend itself to outdoor nude fellowship.
Perhaps friends have a car that would take you and them to a beach.
Perhaps you could form a Christian Nudist group that has events together in various places.
Since you are both young, you have many years of enjoyment ahead. Pray that God would provide ways for you to experience His great creation in the clothes free manner He created us.
God bless you both

Great to have you in the group.Boyd`s website was also what led me to being a nudist. It was one of the first sites I found that gave me the information I was looking for.(dont get the big head now Boyd...lol kidding)But I have to say it is one of the bests sites on the net.
It`s great that you and your wife are becoming nudist at a young age I wished so many times I would have found out about it sooner.
Hope to hear from you alot.

That is Awesome!

February 14 2003, 1:44 PM

I am so glad we were able to help you out in this great new lifestyle for you! I am excited for you.

You may want to check in your area to see if there are any Naturist Resorts near you. Often, they are setup in areas that are concealed, quiet and run by people who are serious about naturism. Family naturism is very popular now.

I hope to visit Australia in the next couple of years. Maybe we can get together then. After all, if I go that far, might as well go a little further and meet up with you two!

You are welcome here, glad you came and stayed.

Just remember, You are not naked, you're just not wearing any clothes.

Continue to pray your neighbors to Christ.

(That includes Sadam Huesein (sp?) and the leaders of the Middle East.)

Wow, Naked People All Over The World

February 14 2003, 7:11 PM

Now that you're here, welcome home. My wife and I started naturism with the bible in mind, so to speak. I saw an article in the Los Angeles Times Sunday Magazine almost a decade ago and suggested we try the resort. Having a Master of Divinity degree she searched her brain database and couldn't think of any biblical tenets against nudity, so off we went and its been a fantastic new lifestyle ever since. We've met a great community at the resort we camp at. I also "discovered" this site several years ago and have tried to contribute a few intelligent things here and there occasionally. I believe that naturism has brought us closer together and stonger in our faith and we're able to weather the trials better as a result. Don't ask me why being naked has strengthened faith because I don't have a reason. I just know it has and that's why its called faith and not science. Also try out Net Nude (netnude.com). Jan has a Christian Naturism discussion board you might also want jump in on. The whole site has some lively discussions at times. Other than that, you'll find a community here also that has a lot of opinions and ways to force you to think differently.

Rent a car and go up to Noosa Heads

February 22 2003, 7:36 AM

Sorry, misspelled it in my other note.

Folks go nude on the rocky beaches just outside Noosa. I've heard that they hike in the woods surrounding the beach, too.

Go a little bit further up to Airlie Beach and rent yourself a boat there. Heard lots of folks go naked on their boats up there. Say, "Hello" to my old friend Arthur Harvey who lives up there. We used to sail together in Singapore.

Hi Andrew,I can relate to your situation,as I to live in an appartment and do not drive. It's great that you and your wife are together on this issue.
I don'r know if this will help, but if you can find any nudist groups in your area, they maybe of some help. If you can make contact with them, they maybe able to directct you to others in your area.
I did'nt realize until getting involved, here in B.C. about groups like that of the Skinny Dippers. This is agreat way to enjoy this activaty and have a good swim too. You can check out C.O.B.C. (clothing optinal B.C.)
Hope you find the help you need to better enjoy this "new found freedom" I too was "blown away" upon finding that there were "christian nudist". It has made it easier to become involved,as you know that your not alone.
