Is Blasting Pray at Children, Ok ?

Is this "Blasting" really in the Bible ?

I know we all need to pray and to be prayed for
but I never like to see anyone get yelled at,
especially children.

Maybe it is not abuse,
but I feel a little uncomfortable
with anyone shouting at kids,
even if it is just to get them to pray.

Hurts my ears just thinking about it.

A balance in all things

Praying "out loud" (as apposed to quietly) is biblical. What is not certain is the necessity to blast the person. Praying out loud is not meant to scream out. Praying out loud is enough for a group of people to hear the prayer so they too can say "amen" if they agree with the prayer. They just have to be able to hear it. No microphones in the day. Today, we call it "public" or "corporate" prayer.

If they are standing in a circle around the subject praying out loud for the demonic spirit to leave, then I would say "no problem" though I do realize that if "Former church members have described blasting as a practice in which church members stand in a circle around an individual while praying loudly in an effort to drive demonic spirits from the subject." is a common practice, if not weekly, then I would say they have a demonic problem.

But it depends on their ministry. If their ministry is to drive out demons, it would be in their best interest to be strong as a group to pray together.

They do have the right to have such practices, but the children don't have much of a choice if they believe everything they do requires a "blasting" to resolve. Kid's are having a tough time as it is today. A calm prayer by one single person can do just as much...."according to your faith".

Jesus asked many times, "Do you believe", and all it took was the answer "yes". Even one went so far as to admit his weaknesses and asked for belief where he lacked it so he can be even more faithful. Jesus was quite impressed. No blasting was required.

It is a lot like naturism. We can use the bible to back up our beliefs, but we don't want to make a religion out of it (even though some try to). And we certainly don't want to hurt our children with it.

Sorry about that

I have used the same title for two different subjects, and BOTH under Advocate4Liberty's messages.

I suppose it was an obvious title since most of the problems out there in the religious world is not taking the bible as a whole, but part. Seems opposite to the song "It is well with my soul" that takes our sins, "not in part, but in whole".

That is why we, as naturists, beleive that the sins of man dating back to the original sins of Adam and Eve are no longer over us. We have been completely forgiven and no one can take us back there and point us to that sin again. We are back in the "garden" which is in a sense, the physical type of God's throne room. We are back in his presence. And just like Adam and Eve, we are no longer afraid or ashamed.

We try to keep balance in scriptures, but sometimes we get off track too. So I used that title for that reason, but not to pick on you! I'll try to think up of another one next time.

"It is well" Boyd

Could you tell me where to find that in the Bible.
I know it is in there, I just want to look it up.
Is that the only place in the Bible where the words
"It is Well" are used ?
